The Guam Department of Public Health and Social Services and the Department of Youth Affairs have been working to provide an HIV/STD Education / Prevention Program in the Youth Corrections Facility. DYA’s target population however, through this website is intended to consist of all of Guam’s youth, confined or not, who can access the Internet and can communicate their need for HIV/AIDS Education and Testing.
HIV/AIDS testing in Youth Correctional Facility gives many incarcerated youths who have placed themselves at “high risk,” the opportunity to be screened for HIV/AIDS using the Orasure Test Kits, and/or be referred to the Department of Public Health and Social Services for STD testing.
